Vapas Group, a Finnish bike-leasing platform, has joined forces with a French corporate cycling company, Azfalte, to expand corporate cycling across Europe.
This partnership will provide Vapaus Group with more reach into France’s cycling ecosystem, utilizing Azfalte’s strong leadership in the French corporate cycling space. Adding in Azfalte’s local presence, gives the Finnish company access to the French market, which is currently showing the most potential growth in corporate cycling.
The Finnish company has delivered over 30,000 bicycles, and aims to get 1 million employees on 2 wheels around Europe in the upcoming years, expanding the company’s growth.
Several factors support France’s potential to grow such as 60% of car rides in the country remain less than 5 kilometers, presenting an opportunity to use a bicycle as an alternative. The French government also has regulatory support, offering subsidies in certain regions for purchasing a bicycle.
